IX Construction Group is a residential construction company with its roots in carpentry. We build extensions, loft conversions and whole-house refurbishments, detailed the way a carpenter would.

What we do

Five kinds of work, one set of standards.

End of selected work

Measure · align · construct

  1. 01

    Extensions

More room, built into the house rather than bolted onto it, so the join is the part you cannot find.

  2. 02

    Refurbishment & Renovation

Whole-house work and the structural changes that make an older building fit how it is actually lived in.

    Covers

    • Whole-house refurbishment
    • House renovations
    • Bathroom fitting
  3. 03

    Loft & Barn Conversions

Space that already exists, made into rooms worth having.

    Covers

    • Loft conversions
    • Barn conversions
  4. 04

    Garden Rooms & Timber Structures

Free-standing buildings, framed and clad from the ground up.

    Covers

    • Outbuildings & garden rooms
    • Timber structures
  5. 05

    Kitchens & Carpentry

Where the company started, and still the reason the finish holds up: made to the room, fitted to walls that are never quite square.

    Covers

    • Bespoke kitchens
    • Kitchen design
    • Handmade and built-in furniture
    • Staircases
    • Bespoke windows & doors
    • Architraves and skirting
    • Door fitting & hanging
    • General carpentry

Most projects combine several of these: a loft conversion arrives with a staircase, a renovation arrives with a kitchen. They are rarely separate jobs.

How a project runs

Set out once, properly.

  1. Measure

    Understanding the house

A conversation about what you want to do, then a look at the building itself: what it is, and what it will actually allow.

  2. Align

    A proposal, before anything moves

Scope, sequence and cost, set out in writing and without obligation, so the job is agreed on paper before it is agreed on site.

  3. Construct

    The build

Work is arranged and carried out in the agreed order, with the structural stages done properly before anything gets covered up.

  4. Fit

    The finish

The last stage is the one that shows. Scribes, mitres and the details that decide whether a room reads as made or assembled.

Who does the work

It started as carpentry.

IX Construction Group has its roots in carpentry, and in the habits that came with it. As the jobs got larger the business grew to match them, though the way a job is set out never changed.

We had a full renovation done on our house, including a loft conversion, and we’re really pleased with how everything turned out. The quality of the work is excellent, and you can tell they take real pride in what they do.

Bring a sketch on the back of something, a set of drawings or nothing written down at all. Any of those is a reasonable place to start. We will come back to you with a view on whether it works and a no-obligation quote.
