What happens to what you tell us.
This notice covers the information you send through this website, mostly through the enquiry form. It’s written to be read rather than to cover us, so if anything here is unclear, ask and we’ll explain it.

01
Who we are
IX Construction Group is a residential construction company. When you send us an enquiry, we decide what happens to the details you give us, which under UK data protection law makes us the controller of that information.
The controller is IX Construction Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17301247, with its registered office at 8 Oakcroft Gardens, Littlehampton, West Sussex, BN17 6LT.
The quickest way to reach us about anything on this page is the phone number or email address at the end of it.
02
What we collect
Only what the enquiry form asks for, which is:
- your name
- an email address, a phone number or both, so we can reply
- the kind of work you’re thinking about
- roughly where the property is, if you tell us
- when you’re hoping to start, if you know
- whatever you write about the job
- any photographs or plans you choose to attach
Your name and one way of replying are the only things we need. Everything else is optional and the form will send without it.
If you ring or email us instead, we hold whatever you send us that way. There’s no account to create and no password.
03
Why we use it and on what basis
To answer you: to reply, ask the obvious follow-up questions, arrange a visit and give you a quote. The legal basis is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
To run the business: keeping a record of what was asked for and agreed, then organising the work we go on to do. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping proper records of our own jobs.
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not send newsletters and we do not sell them or pass them to anyone for advertising.
04
Photographs and plans
Attaching photographs or drawings is optional and helps us give you a more useful answer. They’re stored alongside the rest of your enquiry and read by us.
Photographs are usually resized in your browser before they’re sent, which has the useful side effect of removing the information cameras record inside an image file, including where the photo was taken. Some file types can’t be resized that way and are sent as they are, so any information inside them is sent too.
We do not publish anything you send with an enquiry. If we ever wanted to show a photograph of finished work on this website, we would ask you first. If something you’ve sent shows more than you intended, tell us and we’ll delete it.
05
Who else is involved
These are the companies that handle information for us when you send an enquiry:
- Sanity, which stores this website’s content along with enquiries and any files attached to them
- Vercel, which hosts and runs the website while keeping the ordinary technical logs any web host keeps
- Resend, which delivers the email that tells us an enquiry has come in
They operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed outside the United Kingdom.
That alert repeats what you sent, so we can act on it from a phone without logging in. Photographs and plans are never attached to it: they stay with the enquiry, which the email only links back to.
We do not keep a separate customer database and we do not use an email marketing platform. Beyond the companies above, we do not share what you send with anyone else unless the law requires it.
06
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with you: to answer, to quote, then for as long as the work is live. We keep records of completed jobs for a period beyond that, because questions about work we’ve done can come back years later.
When information is no longer needed for either of those, we delete it. If you’d like yours removed sooner, ask and we’ll remove it, unless we are required to keep it.
08
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of what we hold about you
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete it
- stop using it while a question about it is sorted out
- stop using it altogether, where we’re relying on our legitimate interests
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form
Ask us on either of the contacts below. It costs nothing, we don’t need a reason and we’ll reply within one month. We do not make any decisions about you automatically.
09
Asking us something or complaining
For anything on this page or to exercise any of those rights:
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this notice
If how we handle information changes, we’ll change this page and update the date at the top of it.
